Following reports that Viacom executives have ordered Skins producers to tone the series down, the Parents Television Council couldn’t resist the temptation to blow something out of proportion while simultaneously giving it more press. Simply complaining about Skins’s underage sexy stuff wasn’t even enough for the beleaguered council. Instead, it’s urging the Department of Justice and U.S. Senate and House Judiciary Committees to open an investigation into the teen drama, because an investigation into an alleged butt that cameos in Skins’s third episode is obviously the best use of the State Department’s time and money. Aside from said butt, the Council also lists 42 depictions and references to drugs and alcohol in the premier episode. Meanwhile, Taco Bell, a brand oft noted for its class and highbrow taste, has pulled its ads from the series that the Parents Council has dubbed “the most dangerous television show for children that we have ever seen.

Honestly, I’m just going to watch the US Skins ALL THE TIME in protest of how ridiculous this whole thing is becoming. This can’t be real life.
